1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of moving, relocation, packing, storage, and associated services by Safe Shift Removals & Relocations (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Company”) to you (“the Customer”). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


2. Bookings & Quotations

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed upon receipt of a deposit (if applicable).

  • Quotations are based on the information provided by the Customer and may be subject to change if requirements vary.

  • Any additional services or changes requested on the moving day may incur extra charges.


3. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are inclusive of labour, transport, and agreed services unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment terms will be agreed upon at the time of booking.

  • Final payment must be made in full on or before completion of the job, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

  • We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments.


4. Cancellations & Amendments

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled move will not incur a cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the move may incur up to 50% of the quoted price.

  • In cases where the Customer fails to be present at the agreed time, a waiting charge or cancellation fee may apply.


5. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer must:

  • Ensure that all goods are properly packed unless packing services have been booked.

  • Provide clear and safe access to both the pickup and delivery locations.

  • Obtain necessary parking permits or access permissions.

  • Notify us in advance of any items requiring special handling (e.g., pianos, safes, fragile items).


6. Company Responsibilities

We will:

  • Carry out services with reasonable care and skill.

  • Use suitable vehicles, equipment, and trained staff for the job.

  • Take reasonable measures to protect goods from loss or damage during transit.


7. Liability & Insurance

  • While every effort is made to prevent damage or loss, liability is limited under the terms of our standard insurance coverage.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage to items.

    • Damage to items not adequately packed by the Customer.

    • Loss or damage resulting from unforeseeable events beyond our control (e.g., traffic delays, weather conditions).

  • Additional insurance can be arranged upon request prior to the move.


8. Prohibited Items

We will not transport:

  • Hazardous or flammable materials.

  • Perishable goods.

  • Illegal items or substances.

  • Cash, jewellery, or valuable documents (unless agreed in writing).


9. Delays

While we make every effort to arrive and deliver on time, unforeseen delays may occur. We are not liable for any financial or other loss caused by delays beyond our control.


10. Storage Services

  • Storage is provided at agreed rates and subject to availability.

  • Goods must be collected within the agreed timeframe unless an extension is arranged.

  • Storage fees must be paid in full before items are released.


11. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if:

  • The Customer’s behaviour is abusive, threatening, or unsafe.

  • The service request involves prohibited or unsafe items.


12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
